My 3 year old won’t sleep in he’s own room.

My three year old has had a bed time routine from around one years old, bath time, story time and then bed (my bed). I’m expecting my 2nd baby in a couple of months and have been trying my absolute best to get my 3 year old to sleep in he’s own room. I’ve decorated it how he wanted (dinosaurs) new bed and mattress, bedding, night light, you name it I got it for he’s room. He goes to bed fine after he’s story but it’s the constant getting up out of bed and refusing to go back to sleep that’s getting to me. I’ve tried everything I can possibly think of but nothing seems to be working :/ Any suggestions please x

You just have to keep taking him back to his room again and again. Be calm and consistent. And patient. It’s a big change for him, he’s been with you in your bed for his whole life!

How long ago did you move him to his own room?
