baby is 17 weeks, she’s getting so so frustrated in the carrycot but the seat unit says for 6 months. she is quite a small baby in 2nd centile (10lb 14) but has such good head control but can’t sit unaided, is it too soon to move to seat unit, or does it have pretty good support?

I had this model, also 2nd centile baby. I moved him at about that age. You can tilt the seat unit so baby isn't totally upright. Had him facing me until about 6/7 months the front facing.
Being able to look around will definitely help with the frustration.

@Manchestermummax3 great to hear, i will put the seat unit on i’m sure she will love it a lot more she loves looking around and stops fussing when i take her out of the carrycot! thank for your response :)

The reason they say it's for 6m+ is because after 6 m the SIDS risk decreases (babies are supposed to sleep perfectly flat).

If she doesn't sleep in the seat then you'll probably be fine. Just keep an eye on her temp - the seat is a LOT warmer than the carrycot

@UnravellingTheWorld ah thank you for that info it’s really handy to know! i will definitely keep an eye on her in it, and will dress her in a bit less layers than the carrycot :)
