Is this too much poo?

My 5 month old has been pooing a lot, sometimes 6 dirty nappies a day, not large, in small quantities with a lot of farting. We tried her on baby porridge but stopped incase it was blocking her up and causing this? Any advice? No temperature, great form, skin is fine, I'm not thinking it's an allergy, she strains a little but I'm not sure if constipation could cause this? Should I call gp or give it a few days til her belly goes back to normal after the porridge?

Is there a reason why she’s being weaned onto solids at 5 months old instead of 6 months? Her tummy probably isn’t ready for it yet and it’s causing her an upset stomach.

Babies don't need porridge at 5m. They only need breastmilk or formula.

I could’ve written this about my baby! 12months now and still poos at least 3 times a day.
At 5 months I went on antibiotics, I was breastfeeding and I think that it impacted the very frequent output for certain. Did go to GP. They checked babies tummy and sent off a poo sample, all fine and they weren’t worried as baby was happy and content. If baby is happy and healthy and comfortable passing poo then probably all good. But go to GP if you want some reassurance, for sure.
