Boy of five and a half. Currently exhibiting massive rages when told no. Hits himself on the side of his leg so hard it leaves marks. He's full on screaming in rage. Telling me and husband/dad he hates us. He's really lovely 95% of the time but these mood swings are really really worrying us. Any ideas? Is this normal? He's getting on well as school, secure home life etc etc. Just goes full on meltdown. We were doing a jigsaw and he mentioned he would like a mandalorian one so I said we would focus on this one for the moment and look later, cue tantrum. He spits when angry as well.
