Emotional toddler?

Anyone else ? DS 28mo and I just feel like he feels his emotions very deeply

He gets overwhelmed easily by questions, we try not to ask too many but as he can’t say loads of words it does help us pinpoint what he wants as he can say yes/no please /thank you

and simple things can overwhelm him like if I offer the wrong snacks, certain social situations etc , he’ll say no and then turn into a full blown cry - any tantrum of his is less than 5 mins I’d say! As I know how to calm him

sometimes it feels like the whining and meltdowns are constant and I get it as he’s so young and can’t express or regulate his emotions. Any tips for me to help him?

I see all over social media to get on their level talk about emotions and reason with them. I find this just frustrates him more?? I don’t think he wants to talk during this
