4 month old diarrhoea l, should I be worried?

My 4 month old baby normally has 2 maybe 3 dirty nappies a day, but yesterday she had 8 and today she's had 10!

She seems perfectly fine in herself, she's happily smiling and babbling away. Her temperature is fine. She's just shitting a lot! As soon as I give her a bottle it's just going straight through her.

Finding really conflicting advice online. Is this a call to the doctors in the morning? Or 111 now?

I can't think of anything that could be causing it, is there such a thing as a bad batch of formula? I opened a new tub on Monday but it's the same formula she's been on since birth.

Thanks.

hello, is your baby teething just because my daughter was like this and it was actually due to her teething. It’s definitely died down but she was doing a lot of runny stringy type poos. If calling a doctor makes you feel more at ease just incase then for sure do so

Hi, yes she has just started teething! Maybe that's it, thanks so much.

She seems much better today, I didn't ring the doctors and I'm glad now because I would have felt daft when they said there's nothing wrong with her! It's just hard to know what's normal and what isn't when it's your first.

Thanks so much for replying!

Oh good I’m glad she’s better, no worries at all. It just seemed so similar to my daughter. It’s never daft, like you say you just never know. I took my daughter for the same reason lol . They said teething. Glad I could help 😊
