Teething - how do you know?

FTM to a 4 month old - How do you know your baby is actually teething and it’s not something else upsetting them? My baby has woken up screaming in pain the last few nights and I can’t work out if it’s wind, teething or something else. Thanks in advance

For us the signs were:
red cheeks
lots of drooling
red gums
fussiness during feeds
hands in mouth constantly!

If it’s not teething could it be the 4 month sleep regression? Hope you have some better nights soon x

You can see or feel the tooth pushing through. Give them Calpol.
