9 month old gone off food?

Especially breakfast…

She used to eat porridge happily but now screams if I give it to her. Tried other flavours / breakfasts. If I give her omelette she has a few bites but I wouldn’t say eats a lot. Same with baby pancakes.

She can be hit and miss with lunch and dinner too. Yesterday she ate a load of blended chicken and veggies but sometimes she will have 1 bite and then cry.

I give it enough time to make sure she’s hungry enough and she would have milk if I offered it - which I try not to do too soon after she rejects a meal.

Is this normal? Can it be really up and down? She still mainly has milk as she does not eat enough food to sustain her but I don’t know how to ease this towards her mainly having food by the time she’s 1? Does it just happen?

My LO turned 9 months a few days ago and the same thing is happening! He absolutely loves his food, mixture of lumpy foods and BLW, hewould wolf down porridge in the mornings and now we have a protest every breakfast. Bizarre. I’ve found he’s happier with finger foods though. He seems to protest being fed with a spoon now and only wants to feed himself so thinking this may be the new thing 🤷‍♀️
