2 month old really cranky days after vaccinations!

My 2 month old had his first set of vaccinations on Wednesday last week. For a couple of hours after, he was absolutely fine. However since Wednesday night, he hasn't fed right, doesn't really seem interested. He was downing 7oz bottles before but now doesn't really seem interested. Although his feeding has got slightly better.

He is really cranky though! Before he was a happy smiley baby that never really cried. Now at the minute, as soon as we put him down in his basket for a nap he cries, pick him up, he cries. He's really hard to settle. He wakes up crying and he never did that before.

Anyone else's baby been like this after their jabs?

I'm assuming it's related to his jabs but thought it would have passed by now.

I'm a really anxious first time mum and it's really upsetting me seeing him like this 😭

I'm now starting to think the crying is related to tummy pain. He's pooping a lot and every time I pick him up he burps. He's also kicking his legs a lot.

I hate seeing him like this 😭

Have you been giving him Calpol? I found that it upset my DS's tummy when he was tiny.

I haven't given him any Calpol since about lunchtime on Thursday as he didn't seem too bad and he never had any temperature after his jabs, was just a bit morngy. But he seems to be getting more fussy 😕

I've been debating giving it him today to see if it helped but haven't done yet

In that case I don't think it would hurt to try him with a dose of he's feeling that cranky. Hopefully it will make him feel well enough to have a couple of good feeds Flowers

My baby is exactly the same. Did yours get better and return to normal?

He did but it took a good 10 days! I'm certain it was down to the rotavirus vaccine! He wasn't as bad with the 2nd dose at 12 weeks. Was only upset for 3-4 days but he absolutely sailed through the 16 week jabs!

You will get your happy baby back. My boy is 8 months old now and thriving 😊
