Chores for kids. What do yours do?

I feel like I’m a bit late in implementing an official chore chart for my kids who are aged 7 and 9. They do things like put away their dishes and help groceries unloading but not as a “chore”, just something they do.

I do feel like I need to do something more official. Would love to hear how you implementation your families. What chores do they do? Do you use chores for them to earn things such as screen time etc or do you think not mix them up?

do you do chores on school days? I feel so mean since they have long hectic days and don’t get home until 5/6pm, I’d feel evil asking for chores too. I came from a household who made me do (pretty heavy) chores from as young as 5 and have grown up to resent my parents for making me do those things so young so maybe why I’m on the other extreme

Mines six and I don't really set chores, just things like tidy room. Etc help me. Make the bed, open the blinds, help put underwear away

I sometimes feel like I'm failing as a parent. Mine (aged 13 and 11) don't really do anything! Sometimes they do odd jobs to earn extra pocket money (I.e. wash the car) but of course they should just be helping out as members of the family.
I work part time and have time to to everything myself so I just get on with things. I also admit I like things done my way without people interfering.
