DS is 13 months and still likes milk during the night, 1-2 bottles after bedtime.

Id like to hear from those who managed to wean them off? I have already tried offering water.

He will not settle at all without the milk , as soon as he has it, he goes back to sleep.

Following as in the same boat! Starting last night we decided to go cold turkey on night time milk, it's water only from now on..!

Are they eating 3 meals a day and snacks? I would offer a supper (toast, banana etc) before bedtime so nice and full. The other thing would be to not offer a bottle at bedtime in the bedroom, and give it downstairs before bed. Just in case the bottle is a habit for helping get back to sleep and this is in part why they want one in the night.
If they’re still waking for a bottle, see if you can start by cutting the volume you offer - just give 2/3oz perhaps. Then move onto water. Then water in a sippy cup not a bottle to cut the reliance on bottle as a sleep aid.
Good luck!

He eats 3 meals a day and snacks, even when he eats not long before bed. He still wakes up for night bottles! Its so frustrating as he's just not happy to go back to sleep without it. It must be a comfort for him.

Im worried me reducing the oz, will result in him just wanting more bottles?!
