Probably very obvious but do your little boys wear socks with sandals? If so, which style? Pictures? My little girl wears short frilly socks, nice and easy! What do I put my 2 year old boy in? They seem to rub without.

I wouldn’t put either my son or daughter in socks and sandals. Just sandals, no socks.

Same, no socks with sandals for my dc.

Our boys lived in crocs in the summer until they were about 6!

I've only ever done socks and sandals if they're the closed round toe jelly shoe type, you know the ones in all different colours with translucent plastic?
Otherwise if its sandals weather its not sock weather, and vice versa

43ontherocksporfavor · 01/04/2024 22:09

Just ankle socks until warm enough and shoes softened.

Icehockeyflowers · 01/04/2024 22:12

I wouldn't put socks with any sandals.

If the sandals rub, then the sandals are probably not the right fit.
Have you tried e.g. saltwater, crocs, canvas shoes instead?

Cofaki · 01/04/2024 22:13

Patterned ankle socks. He's 9. He doesn't like not wearing socks.

TimesChangeAgain · 01/04/2024 22:13

Just normal socks - all mine at 2 were fairly short and colourful and looked fine with sandals.

SemperOmnibusFacultas · 01/04/2024 22:14

Well teens wear white sport socks so I'd suggest that.

Devilsmommy · 01/04/2024 22:20

If it's warm enough for sandals then socks aren't really needed. Though I guess if they're closed toe sandals, trainer socks could help

my son had sandals on holiday at age 1 but they were very uncomfortable. Since then he’s either wore crocs (nice beige ones) or white trainers at nights for dinner etc

Yep same

Rianxz · 01/04/2024 22:22

Or the igor sandals seemed to be a bit better. My mum used to always put his on with socks and I always thought it was a no no

speakingthetruthisthebestway · 02/04/2024 08:24

They are Igor brand, closed toe and back. Crocs or similar fall off his feet and cause too many trips! maybe I’ll stick with summery coloured trainers!

Socks should never be worn with sandals. If it's too cold without socks wear trainers.

onwardsup4 · 02/04/2024 14:13

Socks are fine for tiny children if it's more comfortable! For that age they tend to be closed toe which is what my 1 year old had last summer. Worn with socks

Saschka · 02/04/2024 14:16

Yep, socks for DS. Sandals are much less sweaty than heavy winter shoes, but honestly heading to school at 8am, it’s not warm enough to go without socks even in July.
