Hi - just looking for a bit of advice please.
My daughter is nearly 3 weeks old. We are formula feeding using kendamil. We haven’t made any changes to her milk. She has the following symptoms:

  • Reflux
  • Screaming and distress when passing wind/ pooping. Arching back, pulling knees to chest and pushing legs out straight.
  • Hiccups
  • Sneezing
  • Patches of redness on skin that come and go - look like they have white spots inside.
  • Crying after feeds, fussiness.
  • Generally unsettled.
I have attached a picture of her poop as it looks mucus to me - but as a FTM unsure. Any advice or thoughts would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

They were my daughters symptoms. She has multiple food allergies. It might be worth a chat with your HV

This picture was very similar to my daughter who was diagnosed as CMPA. Usually to diagnose CMPA the dietitian will need a period of baby being on CMP free milk, then ask if/what symptoms returned after a period of going back on the usual milk. I’ve also heard some parents suspecting Kendamil was too heavy for their baby to digest as it’s full fat whole milk. We had Kendamil before LO went on a hypoallergenic milk, she oddly seemed to love it but her guts definitely didn’t! Definitely worth raising with your HV.

Also can be tested by taking all dairy out of your diet- if you want to keep ebf!

mine looked like this but key tell was flecks of boood in poo too.
