6 month old drinking less.

Hi everyone,

my little boy is 6 months old and has always loved his milk. At the moment he is on five 8oz bottles a day and he usually finishes these really quickly.

yesterday and today however, he’s just not interested. He drinks about 3-4oz and it’s then a battle to get any more in and can take up to an hour just to get him to drink 5-6oz. He has been teething for the last 3 weeks but the teeth broke through the gum about a week ago so not sure it would be that? Otherwise he’s really well in himself. He’s smiling and playing and has lots of wet and dirty nappies. His sleep hasn’t been bad but yesterday and today instead of having a 2 hour nap at lunch he’s only had 35 minutes!

any advice? I just wonder if it’s all ok. I managed to get about 30oz into him in 24 hours yesterday but so far in the two feeds he’s had today he’s only had 10oz.

Are you weaning him?

Like Dusty says, have you started offering solids and if so, how often?

Nope no solids yet, he’s been drinking better today so not sure if he’s had a little bug?
