Social services made a plan without seeing other parent - is that normal?

Hi everyone,

I was just wondering if this was normal.

My ex and I share a child together. Following a police matter, he's not allowed any contact with our child unless allowed by social services for the duration of his bail period.

He was arrested a month ago and social services have only met and spoken to me, they haven't met him yet or conducted any risk assessment.

I got a text message from my social worker telling me that she was going to call me in the next couple of days to let me know what the plan going forward was. She also wants to meet up after discussing the plan in a couple of weeks.

Does it mean they have already agreed on what kind of contact my child's dad is allowed? Is it normal given they haven't met him?

Thank you
