Eczema and fungal infection

Can anyone help me?

My baby has been prescribed an eczema medication and anti fungal medication.

  1. How do I apply the moisturiser front and back and allow it to dry when my baby is only small and can't sit up?
  1. Can you apply moisturiser to a fungal infection as well as anti fungal cream? Her back is apparently a mixture of eczema and fungal 🤦‍♀️

My poor daughter is so irritated and I feel so bad that she's not happy 😞

Tummy time to do her back, or hold her in your arms if that much tummy time is a complete non-starter. Or try her on her side.

I'd check with a pharmacist about the fungal cream and moisturiser, but until you can, I'd avoid applying them at the same time. Usually with eczema creams, you're supposed to apply anything else at a separate time.

If the fungal cream doesn't sort it or the 'fungal' pattern comes back, I'd ask the doctor to consider discoid eczema. It looks incredibly fungal, and isn't that common, so is often misdiagnosed.
