Hi all,

My little one has been a little bit all over the place for the last week, especially at meal times, he still has a bottle when he wakes up and a bottle to go to bed,

I'm struggling to get him established with solid food, I was using the 12 month tubs, ellas kitchen, heinz and hipp, but he's been point blank refusing them for the last couple of days,

I am trying him with other things, like actual solid food, but apart from toast and fries, he's not interested unless it's his veg straws/wafers.

He has a confirmed egg allergy, so like trying him scrambled egg is out.

He's been fine with his fruit pouches. And he's currently cutting a tooth.

Is it normal for them to go off certain foods so suddenly?

Yeah they can go off food when cutting a tooth. I would just keep offering. Try things like fruit and Cucumber sticks as they will be cool and soothing on the gums.

Also try just normal food give him some pasta bolognase, cottage pie. Hell mine is a similar age a loves a roast dinner.
Try getting him to eat with you if your having it they will want it.

Mine have multiple allergies so I know that makes things tough but there's plenty of family meals that egg free.
The what mummy makes book is great and gives you substitutions for eggs in the recpies

He normally loves his cottage pie, and I tried him with the ellas kitchen pasta pots with the massive pieces of pasta he wasn't having any of it, but last week he absolutely loved it!

I tried him with my Sunday dinner tried a bit of the chicken and refused the rest.

But I shall try the book at this point I'm willing to try anything, im just worried he's not had enough food. 🥲

Short term while he's cutting teeth its nothing to worry about as long as he's drinking fluids then he will be fine try not to worry
