Taking toddler carrier on plane

Looking for advise please from anyone ever take a carrier like this on holiday.

Did you put it in the hold? Have to check it in or pay extra? We have baggage allowance which we won't use all of. But aware its a irregular size/shape!LittleLife Ranger S2 Child Carrier

I think it can be taken in the hold for free as one of the allowed baby items for most airlines. We are also thinking of taking ours on holiday but not sure how to package it up yet.

I’ve taken it as handluggage but I guess it depends on how strict the airlines are

If you are taking a suitcase... park around it. It will protect it as well.
