Budget Phone Plan and Phone recommendations request

Hi Mums and Dads. I would be grateful for any recommendations for a phone plan and phone for a spare phone for a child. This is going to be very restricted and supervised use. Family whatsapp only.

I have plans with Lebara mobile (runs on Vodafone network) for my two teenagers, and they did have refurbished iPhones when they first got phones and for convenience as both myself and hubby are using iOS. Originally I was doing PAYG, but found being on contract less cumbersome. I use screen time to control their usage, and I also have full control of WiFi through a router and also via our Internet provider. Kids find ways to circumvent, so am always checking internet traffic, app usage and the like. Just can’t trust that they won’t abuse time limits etc. They are my children after all, and I was always a little scamp! 😉
