Leaving my BF 2 month old for 12 hours

Hi
Next Friday I have to be away for work , i'll be out of the house for a 12 hour stretch, leaving my 2 month old with my OH.
She is predominantly breastfed with a small 2 oz bottle of formula per day and extra bottles of expressed milk if i am able to pump them, she knows how to feed from a bottle correctly even if she does protest a bit.
However i can't shake the mum guilt- once or twice she's really kicked off about taking the bottle, especially if shes hungry. She really prefers the boob. Even if I know she won't starve next Friday, and is in great hands with my OH who loves her so much and knows all her cues and how to settle her.
Any advice for leaving small babies especially those breastfed and how not to cry at the thought of leaving? 😭

No advice really, but you could talk to work about not going - if you're on mat leave you don't have to go? If you do want to go, just try not to worry about it too much, she'll be absolutely fine (you'll need to pump) and just do some skin to skin time when you get back.

Aren’t you on Mat leave? If so you really don’t have to go. If you are going then I’d make sure you give her a couple of bottles every day between now and the day so she is still used to them, and pump to get a bit of a stash. Leave her with a top you’ve worn so she can smell you and hope for the best I guess… remember to take your pump with you on the day and get breaks to use it or you could get mastitis. Good luck!
