My smalls are 5 and almost 3. They usually play pretty well together, but they're still little kids and spats happen (usually because the little one is being completely unreasonable by 5's standards...understandably because she's 2and therefore doesn't have the same negotiation, communication, patience skills etc).
I want to encourage them to work things out but not sure what a reasonable amount of autonomy is at this age.
