I seen a ‘parenting coach’ do a video where she gave advice. The viewer stated their 3 year old cries anytime they say no, quite emotionally volatile etc

This lady responds by saying it’s the parents fault they’re not a leader and they need to fix that otherwise the kid will look for others leaders as they grow up (even mentioned drug dealers ??) not surprisingly anyone who commented asking for help, she directed them to a paid course of hers

I do agree as parents we need to show them comfort and security. So yes we need to be a leader so they feel secure, but to say it’s this ladies fault that her child is a bit emotional I think is wrong?

I know we shape our kids but also some things are just personality traits or just how our kids are ! Someone did comment that they have 4 kids and she has the exact same approach and all are different. Which I think does go to show

what do you think? Is EVERY single thing our fault as parents

Of course a 3 year old cries when someone says no. They're 3. Frankly, I know some adults who cry when someone says no. Disappointment and frustration is a normal human emotion. We shouldn't be disciplining emotion out of children, especially at an age where they are only just starting to even learn about social interaction.

I wouldn't be taking advice from some crackpot on TikTok trying to sell parenting advice though. Of course she has a paid course!

Completely agree. My 2 year old is currently at a very very emotional age. Tantrums when we say no tantrums when he doesn’t understand he has to wait etc

i feel it’s normal. After watching that video o instantly felt bad that I wasn’t a leader and the drug dealer comment made me go haywire
but looking back yep I think it’s a load of bollocks now

It’s quite a stretch to say a 3year old crying because they’re told ‘no’ is going to become a drug addict!
