My DD has always been a bit behind with her speech. She's coming up to 3 now but when she saw the HV at 2 years old we mentioned that she had only really just starting talking and they didn't seem too concerned as she was verbal at that stage.
I've been aware that she has some catching up to do with her speech but recently there have been some improvements so she is starting to connect words together and say the odd sentence.
This morning I happened across a video of DS when he was her age and his speech was considerably more developed at that point. Seeing the difference has made me concerned that she's fallen behind more than I thought. DH does not seem that worried as she is hitting most of the other developmental milestones and she is ahead of where DS was at that age in certain aspects (fine motor skills, climbing, kicking a ball etc).
DH is going to a community event run by HVs so will mention it then but I've got myself worried now. Any advice would be very much appreciated.
