Hi all
Date night last month, took morning after pill next day however obviously didn’t work as positive test today!! Can it do baby any harm if you have taken MAP?
also in complete panic my toddler is only 17 months old and worried about managing! Also have the worst guilt I’ve ruined things and not ready to share her :(

MAP does no harm so relax about that.

17 months is a good gap.

MAP just stops ovulation, unless it has already happened in that cycle. No need to worry at all.

No harm from MAP.

Edited

Most emergency contraception works by stopping ovulation. This means if you take it in the days after ovulation it won't be effective and you are still at risk of pregnancy. If you take the MOA pill around the middle of your cycle in particular you are at a higher risk of it not working and I feel this risk is rarely conveyed accurately to women.

As it primarily impacts ovulation it shouldn't have any negative impact on the pregnancy
