Room temp with newborn

If you had a baby born in the winter, what temperature did you make the room where you spent the majority of the day when you came home from hospital and for the first two months? How often did you turn on the heating and to what temperature please? Did you keep the heating permanently on? What did you wear and what did you dress the baby in?
I know what the NHS recommends but I want to know what mums actually did please? I'm especially interested to know what mums have done since all the utility prices rocketed?

Heating constantly on low and kept at about 19 degrees. Baby in vest, sleepsuit and blanket.

The ideal temperature for a babies bedroom is 16-18c. Most houses stick to 16c upstairs with minimal heating. Then vest, Sleepsuit, 2.5 tog sleeping bag, happy days.

First baby was born mid Dec 21, we had a very cold Jan that winter. She was fine. She was usually in a Sleepsuit in the day, mostly no cardy inside. We stayed in our campervan when she was 3 months and it dropped to 6c, she was fine in tights, vest, sleepsuit, sleeping bag and blanket.

Remember the saying, a cold baby cries, a hot baby dies.

Our newborn seemed cold when I followed the guidelines. He now wears a short sleeved vest, footed sleepsuit and 2.5 tog sleepsack in an 18-20 degree room. Never feels clammy or overly warm but seems more content and wakes less frequently. I was petrified of overheating him but he seems to be fine

Baby born in January last year, we had the heating on 19c but off at night (our bedroom is typically quite warm and we had a gro egg room temp that was always yellow/fine). Baby wore a long sleeve vest and sleepsuits during the day or long sleeve vest and comfortable outfit. At night a short sleeve vest, sleepsuit and cellular blanket then 2.5 tog sleep bag once big enough for these.

I wore a short sleeve top and baggy jumper/breastfeeding hoody most of the time! Had a blanket for us both I could pull over during long feeds/contact naps
