7 month old night wees

My 7 month old has never been a particularly great sleeper but it’s starting to feel like we’re cracking it except that he does so many wees! We’re needing to change his nappy 4 times a night as it gets full and wakes him up. It was leaking but now we’ve sized up and gone extra absorbant with a 4+ but I don’t know what else we can do to try and reduce it! It would be better for him (and us) for full nappies not to be waking him but equally I don’t want him sat in a load of wee for hours and hours. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution?

we’re still doing 2 night feeds and no idea how to wean him off those (without causing distress) which presumably would also help!

In my experience we had to change my DDs nappy once for every night feed. You can try gradually increasing his milk intake during the day and see if he feeds less at night. We were able to mostly stop night feeds at around 7 months once DD increased the size of her daytime bottles but she was a bit of a unicorn baby with respect to sleep and lots of others continue to feed overnight for much longer.

It might be a little phase that passes soon enough. When my son is a bit run down he always drinks more and then we end up with a few earlier wake ups because his nappy is ginormous in the morning. It passes and then goes back to normal.

I never used the + size nappies I just go up a whole size for night time. At the moment my 2 and a half year old is in size 5 nappies but I put him in 6s at night.

I think the best you can do is to go a full size up and make sure he's bone dry before bed. When I'm doing bedtime story I have a feel of his nappy and sometimes notice he's had a pee in the time I've put clean one on and jammies and read one story, so I get him in a completely dry one before bed. If you then do one change before you go to bed yourself, would that tide him over til morning?
