Three year old still obsessed with dummies

My DS gave up his dummy for good last June. He as two and a half and only had it for naps but he would always ask for it if he was upset … we’re now nearly. Year on from giving up altogether and he’s still obsessed, takes his sisters and shoves it in his mouth, gravitates to toys with dummies and tries to put them in his mouth. It just seems a bit odd, is it normal?

Yes. Completely normal. After giving dummies up one of mine started putting his fingers in his mouth instead when tired or upset. It’s just a phase, they’ll grow out of it.
