Hi, I've recently bought my daughter a beautiful little dress on e- bay, the problem is it stinks of smoke. It is on the chair beside me at the moment and I can smell it from hear.
Will washing it normaly and using fabric softener remove the smell or is there some thing else I should do ? I don't smoke, (as I'm sure you've gathered) so I'm not used to getting smoke out of fabrics. If any one has any tips I'd be really greatful.

i would just air it outside or give it a normal wash

Wash it - smell should go.

HAng it on line for airing as well if the weathers up to it.

Wash it and it will be fine.
I would personally always wash anything I got from Ebay but then I am an anal "wash addict".

Thanks everyone, I tried to try it on her earlier but she refused. She said "no, it tink!" I'll go and wash it now, before it tinks out our living room.
