Best toddler toys

What are your biggest hits for toddlers around the 2-3 age mark? Number one for my son (2 and a half) is his balance bike, the love of his life. But I'm thinking more of indoor toys.

The toys he plays with the most are Duplo, matchbox cars and car track, brio trains and tracks, and kinetic sand.

What are your children's most beloved toys?

My DS loves cars, trains and his bike. Anything with wheels!

His other favourite toy is the play kitchen we got him for Christmas, it’s got buttons and lights/noises. We also got him some ‘chopping’ toys ie wooden fruit and veg with Velcro that he can ‘cut’.

We're absolutely the same here. Wheels wheels wheels. The Duplo is a hit because he has Duplo vehicles and diggers to "build houses" with the blocks. The kinetic sand is a hit because he has diggers and trucks in the sand tray. Even magnet tiles are only a hit because you can make car ramps 😂

He has a toy kitchen but rarely plays with it. Perhaps if I put it on casters and he can ride it around!
