Switching bf to formula?

So I gave my 7.5 week old a 4oz bottle earlier

she hadn’t had a breastfeed for 3 hours (we were out so she napped) and had this bottle then breastfed for 2/3 mins and she’s now wanting a feed again (so I am feeding her) but this was only 2 hours ago??

isn’t formula supposed to fill her more? I’m not sure what I’m doing has anyone got any tips I’m scared to overfeed her and make her gain too much weight so she flies off the centile chart

I’ve got a 9 week old who is exclusively breastfed and there is no rhyme or reason to her feeds. I just feed whenever she shows signs of being hungry. Sometimes it’s 10 mins after being fed, sometimes it’s 6 hours! My first was formula fed and was the same, I just fed when she showed signs of being hungry.

Oh thank you I thought formula was supposed to make them go 3.5-4+ hours so I was wondering what’s yp

she fed for 10 mins and went back down so she definitely seems fuller as normally she seems to be frequent during the day if we don’t do a big pram walk xx

Don't forget to burp more after formula. If the baby gets full of wind, she feels uncomfortable, but the only pain relief she knows is feeding so she cries for that, the process repeats - then a big spit up happens.
