Hi there
So I'm on maternity at the moment and spend all my time with my 7 month old daughter.. my partner works 4 days on 4 days off and tries to help with our daughter when he's off the problem is she just cries and wants to get back to me when he does anything... he's an amazing dad and we have other children.. when she does sit on him and stay calm for short periods she spends the entire time looking round for me then lights up smiling when she sees me.. dad tries to sing and talk to her and she's too busy looking for me
We don't really have anyone else the odd family member but we don't see anyone too often she also does the same when held by them
Is this normal ? 😅

Yes it's normal.

Yes normal. My dd was the easiest happiest child for me, but would not tolerate dh. It lasted til she was about 2yo

Yes but it won't be forever.

It also doesn't mean that you can't leave her with her dad. My DH often found our DC settled better for him if I was out of the house - they had a sixth sense for when I was trying to have a bath in peace etc so if that's what you fancy send him out on a walk with her.

Yep mine was the same until he was about 1 and now goes happily to his dad

Totally normal my girls 16, 8 and 1 all want mum when needing comfort/food/feeling poorly and daddy for play. So I get whinged at and he gets the giggles lol

Yep for us it got better around 10 months and since then it comes in waves
