I wondered if anybody may have some experience with something similar and may be able to offer some helpful advice.
My DH is in the military and can often be awake for weeks here or there. We don’t live on a base and don’t have a decent network around us. We have wonderful neighbours and some newly founded friends.
It’s dawned on me today, if my DH were away and I had an emergency like needing to go to hospital etc I’m not sure I would have anybody to call upon to help with our kids etc. I wondered how people manage these type of situations? Have people in these isolated situations put plans in place should you need to act on an emergency?
For context this dilemma was triggered as my DS was recently admitted to hospital, and luckily my DH was on hand to help with our other infant child.
