dentist screening in school?

hi I'm trying to write an essay on dental care in the under 8's
am having trouble finding out info on what happens at the dental screening done in schools, does anyone know if its just a quick look then a note home to recomend parents go to a dentist, or do they do any work while there in the school?
if anyone who has a clue thoughts etc would be apprecited

Do they do dental screening in school? I thought it was just Eyes, hearing etc.

i found on the pct website for nmy area that they do it, but doesnt give any info of what exactly they do, so thought i'd see if anyone here might know. i think it depends on what areas you live in to what you get iyswim
