Sleep problems

Recently our 8 month old has been waking up for his usual night feed and having a complete melt down. He will eventually calm down once we have given him a bottle but we have notice the tantrums have gotten so much worse.

The only things we have changed in his routine is moving him to his own room in a cot and stretching out his feeds from 5 ounces every 2 hours to 6 ounces every 3 ounces, as he is now having 2 solid meals per day (we don't want to over feed him).

I don’t think it’s a cot issue as he seems to settle into the cot fine and as we have a baby monitor, we get to him quite quick.

Sometimes we give him a feed right before bed time but he still gets himself into a state up to 2 times a night.

Has anybody gone through anything similar and could give some advice as the meltdowns are quite challenging to deal with in the middle of the night. Maybe it’s just a phase?

Any advice would be great 😊

Could the larger feeds be triggering a bit of reflux?

I've never thought of that actually. Might have to get some advice from my health visitor on reflux. Thanks!
