Car seat - Oyster

Hi all, we are using the oyster 3 travel system. Just wondering if anyone has had similar issues and could offer advice!
We can attach the car seat to the pram base however I really struggle to then remove it back off the base, it's almost like I'm not pushing the button or pulling hard enough but I physically can't do it any harder! DH has no issues but when I'm out on my own I'm having to faff moving her to the carry cot to just nip in the shop and the whole ordeal is taking longer than how long I'm actually in the shop!

I have this car seat and have discovered doing one side (usually the far side) and pulling that fully up and out first, before then lifting the closest one works well! Hope that makes sense and works for you when you try it! I had many stressful moments before discovering this technique!

Will give this a go thank you! Been so terrified after nearly needing rescuing once 🤣

🤣 I've been there! Almost resorted to stopping a stranger to ask them to help! There's definitely a technique to it. Just do one side first and keep it out before pushing the button and lifting the other. Fingers crossed you wont need to be rescued now! 🤞

I had the same issue with the car seat. What I did was remove it from the pram with the car seat attachments on it still then hold it on the base in the car. As in put it on the base in the car to steady it and then remove them. That way I could use both hands to push the button and pull the attachments off rather than 1 hand and trying to lift the car seat at the same time.

Ooh this sounds like a good plan! Will give this a go!

I'm so relieved it's not just me that's had issues with it 🙈

No I really struggled and the first time nearly cried getting myself so flustered. It’s definitely not easy but once I figured out that way it was easier. Couldn’t wait for my son to grow a bit more to get a proper car seat which doesn’t move out of the car. So much easier!

I sprayed some WD40 to the attachments and also do one button at a time whilst holding the handle of the car seat to remove from the chassis. I had to ask a stranger to help me in the street before I knew to do it! It’s not the easiest.
