Hello my dd has had a delayed vaccination schedule due to illness and received her 2nd men b vaccine today. I've given her 2 lots of calpol 4 hrs apart but realised I had only given 2.5mls. I took her temp at 6.30 and she was 38.5 which is the highest she's ever been, I gave her 4mls calpol as realised my error as she's old so probably was meant to have more and it hasn't reduced. She's knackered now after keeping her up for an hr extra but I'm so worried about it spiking whilst she sleeps. I was going to wake her at 12 to check her temp and give another 4mls but I'm really not sure. She's eating, drinking, pooing and weeing and playing fine.

This is normally after the jab. Don’t wake her just let her sleep and if she wakes and unsettled with temp give more calpol x

I think you give 2 doses of paracetamol at 6 hours apart at 5ml dose post men. b vaccine.

Then give accordingly

Completely normal after the men b vaccine and 38.5 is not particularly of dangerously high. Let her sleep, check on her a few times through the night and give more calpol (5ml) if she wakes.

I wouldn't wake her personally. Check on her and give another dose if needed.

No need to wake just check with thermometer whilst she's asleep and if she's red hot then wake to give meds
