Advice on Marmalade Insurance, no data from telematics

Can anyone give advice if Marmalade Blackbox Insurance send notifications if mobile phone battery is low and the black box is not receiving data?

Or anyone share advice of receiving a faulty black box from Marmalade?

Can you not call them. My DD is with Ticker and they just normally email to say you have a certain amount of time to re install it or call up.

My son has had an accident and we are trying to make a claim, Marmalade said they have not received data from the telematics for 2 weeks, all settings in the phone are correct. He did not receive any notifications to say there was an error with the connection.

I wondered if he should have been notified by the app?

Also they said they can see he has been driving with a low mobile phone battery, should the app alert him of this?
