My DD was born 8lb 1oz

had 6 week check and weighs 11lb 5oz now (Hv said she’s on 75th centile , she’s on 99 for heigh)

is this too much? I heard babies should gain about 2lb in first 6 weeks but this is over thst

am I over feeding ??

Nope DS was the same. Slept through (10pm-6am) @ 10 weeks as he had the stores to see him through the night.

Ah so does the weight gain level out? I just initially thought I was over feeding as it says about 2lb but she’s gained over 3

unsure about all of this @Neurodiversitydoctor

Yes once he started moving he fell back to his birth centile (50th) where he remains aged 20.

My daughter followed the 9th percentile at that age and took 7 weeks to put in a kg which everyone was really happy with despite being slow weight gain. If you look at the graph in the book around 50th percentile babies put on about 1kg if following that line. Those under it gain about that maybe slightly less but those above gain more. A 99.6th percentile baby might even gain close to 2kg(1.7-8ishkg)!

Born on the 75th and now on the 75th at 6 weeks sounds about right.

That sounds completely normal to me.
Mine all gained a lot in the first few weeks.
You can't overfeed a breastfed baby anyway.
Congratulations on your new baby!

Thanks everyone :) I was worried I was over feeding and she’d gained too much weight
