Hey guys, my 17 month old DS has been running a high temp although not too high since last night but it’s coming down with medicine. Right now he doesn’t have a fever. Last night he woke up crying and seemed to be in pain. Then he got a fever and had it during the day today too although he doesn’t have it right now. He keeps waking up crying and he seems to be in pain. He didn’t nap that long today, only 45 mins through the whole day, this might be linked too? I feel so bad for him, I don’t know if the pain is teething (he has most of his teeth now, only 1-2 molars are missing), or if it’s a tummy ache or constipation (he didn’t have a poo today and he does most days). Right now thankfully he’s asleep but i can’t see him so upset 🥺 I feel especially bad because I don’t know what exactly is wrong. I’m giving him calpol which does seem to be helping but I don’t know what else to do. He also had a bit of a nappy rash earlier today but that’s gone now

Poor baby has never cried so much in his life 🥺 he’s been sleeping on and off but he woke up at least 30 times at night, I think I slept for 30 mins the whole night (I don’t care though). I just feel so sorry for him. He’s playing now and is a little happier. He was pulling his ears this morning which might mean he has an ear infection again? Or teething. However I thought the pain could be a tummy pain or constipation so I’m not sure if he has both? 🥺

I’m going to call the GP when the surgery opens for an appointment today, they’ll open in an hour and a half. Should I take him to A&E or wait for the surgery to open?
