Leytonstone/Leyton nurseries

Hi all,

I’m currently pregnant with my first child and friends have begun asking me whether I’ve already started looking at nurseries. I’m only around 5 months pregnant so this has alarmed me as I haven’t started looking yet (baby will start nursery when they are 1, so sometime in July 2025)!

I know nurseries in London can be really over-subscribed but I haven’t seen much information about those local to me (Leytonstone/Leyton area) - does anyone have any recent experience with nurseries in these areas? I’d be grateful to know how over-subscribed the nurseries are, wait list timescales, and when I should think about booking a spot.

I unfortunately don’t know any mums in the area so there isn’t anyone I can go to for advice.

Hey, we used Precious Tots for our son. Loved it. No idea if it’s oversubscribed or not!

We’re using the Little Green Man Nursery and have had a great experience there. Very warm staff.

Re availability - some nurseries are more oversubscribed than others. You have plenty of time though - go visit your local ones and enquire about availability for the ones you like.
