7 year old scared of death

Hello! Any advice or resources please for a seven year old who is scared of a parent dying? For example trouble sleeping on her own but was fine before, scared if mummy goes out without her, or fear of not being picked up at school because something happened to mummy/daddy. She’s generally a very loving and happy little one. Help!

(For context, no-one in the family is sick, no big life events or changes except daddy going back to the office)

Normal, as they become aware of mortality. I mean, it is pretty scary in some ways.

My dd was terrified of dying in her sleep (herself and others) and in the end we researched how common it is to die in your sleep when you’ve been walking around healthy all day (pretty uncommon!) and we talked about the difference between sleeping and being dead; the way sleep cycles work and how hormones make your body remember to wake up. Eventually she just got over the phase, after lots more reassurance. About six months in total for us. So just be patient, talk if you think it helps to talk about what happens when we die and the likelihood of it happening today/tomorrow/some unspecified point of time in the future.
