Just constipation?

Hello, I posted the other day about this in children's health section but there was very little response and not much traffic. Hope it's okay to post here.
My ds9 has had short term constipation in the past and has cleared up with a week of movicol which was tolerated well previously.
His usual bowel habits are 1-2 times per day.
On Monday he didn't poo at all and said he felt a bit sick but was his usual self and eating okay.
On Tues he did 1 small poo, felt nauseous and skipped lunch and snacks but still managed breakfast&dinner. I gave him 1 dose of laxido. Complaining of sore tummy too.
On Wednesday I had to pick him up from school early he was so nauseous, when I got him home I gave him 1 dose of laxido which he immediately threw up, this has never happened before. I spoke to a pharmacist on the phone who advised me to try another laxido dose later in the day. Ds only ate breakfast this day before school nothing else. I tried the 2nd dose of laxido before bed time and this was also thrown up! Sore tummy round belly button.
On Thurs I took DS to the GP who felt his stomach and checked him over otherwise too, he has no temperature but he was very sleepy and she was concerned about that and asked me to keep an eye on it and she prescribed lactulose since the laxido was not being tolerated by him. He did 2 separate poo's that morning which were very small and he then napped for 3hrs which isn't like him at all. That evening he had a few plain dry crackers for dinner and he did 2 bowel movements after which were mushy/loose. He slept like a log all night.
Now today - he has not eaten this morning, not had a bowel movement yet, was awake for 2hrs and has gone for a nap again!
He is drinking a moderate amount and urinating normal colour pee, he has no temperature. He had 20ml of the lactulose yesterday and I've given him the first 10ml dose of today this morn.

Can anyone relate to this? I have no clue what's going on.

I think you need to go down the diet route rather than relying on the medication only.
Try and get prunes and pear into his diet.
How much fruit/veg does he eat daily? How much fluid is he taking daily?

Problem is ds has autism and is very selective in his diet due to texture/sensory issues. The only way we get fruit into him is through smoothies which he has regularly but absolutely no vegetables unfortunately. Also he's literally not eating right now so that's not going to help the current situation but moving forward once we've resolved this I will have to think of other ways to get around his sensory issues. Usually he drinks plenty of fluids, milk in the mornings and a carton of milk at school, plus a full water bottle at school and then a drink with dinner (usually a smoothie or apple juice) and then some more water before bed.
