Vitamin d drops

We had our beautiful baby girl on 24.02.24. As I'm breastfeeding the midwife advised we get vitamin d drops. Is vitamin d and vitamin d3 the same thing? Most seem to say vitamin d3. Thank you

Yes D3 is vitamin D. For our second baby (this wasn't yet a recommendation when we had our first) we used Baby D-Drops till 6 months then switch to Abidec drops as after 6 months they should also have vitamin A and C. The advice is different if you are using formula as vitamins are added.

Check with your health visitor if they offer free ones in your area

I would recommend the baby d drops as it's just one drop a day my friends had some which were 0.5ml given drop by drop. We got quite a few freebies from health care professionals

After 6 months you will need vitamins a, c and D so I wouldn't get more than 6 months supply of the vitamin d
