What’s wrong with my toddler?

My toddler hasn’t been right today but I don’t know what’s up. He’s seemed lethargic, cried more than usual, extra clingy, has been a bit snotty but not too bad but no fever. It’s weird as the lethargy is the same as when he has a fever, but his temperature has been fine. I gave him nurofen/calpol throughout the day and he perked up a little and would then start to decline again when it started to wear off - much like what happens with a fever.

He is currently cutting his first bottom molars but can that cause lethargy?

According to popular baby website The Baby Sleep Site, some parents have anecdotally reported that their kids do sleep more during particularly severe teething episodes. In a way, they say, the teething can act like a bad cold and make your baby feel under the weather.
