Best multivitamin for 8 month old

Since my baby weaned she loved food at the expense of milk. I've tried cutting portions, not offering food etc but she won't take more. So I am in the situation where she is having less than the recommended amount.

Two questions

  1. My dietician scared me and said not having milk can affect her brain health as she won't be getting the micronutrients and to force the milk... but how? She just won't open her mouth..
  2. What is the best multivitamin to offer?

Thanks!

My daughter has a dairy allergy and the two things from dairy our dietician has asked to make sure my daughter gets is calcium and iodine. My daughter has fortified oat milk with both in. I can't remember what iodine is found naturally in but I recalled they clashed with her allergies. There are food source outside of dairy that have calcium in.

Unless the diet is seriously restricted you only need vitamins a c and D for kids. You can get healthy starts drops which are 5 drops or nature and something on Amazon (purple label) this is 0.5ml a day. I wouldn't bother with any multivitamin that is 5ml a day with an 8 month old. In my experience they were a pain to give and my daughter is used to taking daily medication by syringe!

All formula counts regardless of whether it is in food or in a bottle so you could try making up some food with the formula to get more of that in them. We did this when to get my daughter used to the taste of her formula.
