Is it normal for his attention span to lengthen at this age? Hes sitting and playing with some toys now, max I’ve seen is play dough for 30 mins but that was a one off

wr leave his car and car ramps out and he comes back and forth to them

We Do like to try and be active, still trying to teach him how to use the scooter (he keeps both feet on and doesn’t understand why it doesn’t move bless him 😂) we walk 0.5-1 miles sometimes more each day and have like a balance board in the house etc

i feel like he never used to sit still or do anything like this but is it his age? Combined with nursery 3 days a week whichll obviously work on him partaking in activities and sitting for them?

It doesn’t sound abnormal that a 2 year old can concentrate on playing with their toys, attention span increases with age.

Yes as they get older their attention span does too but it’s very variable depending on the child really.

Thanks I just worried more is he not being active like running around but if we walk at minimum 0.5 miles a day then maybe he’s got some like downtime conserved for when we’re in

But doesn’t sit and play much when we visit grandparents etc. so maybe it’s being comfy in his home too

Also some kids are just a little lazier than others! It’s not a negative thing, one of my kids never stops moving, the other prefers crafts and reading. They’ve always had different activity levels.
