My son is 16 months.
He has no words yet and is quite different to how my older child was at this age. He can't convey what he wants , so he will get in such a rage and lie on the floor screaming.
I ignore, then distract. My husband will say 'no!' at him 'stop' in the same voice we use when he climbs on the table . I think telling him no is pointless, he's just trying to tell us how cross he is that we don't understand.
What can we do that's better ?
