DS 4yo just going without nappies at night...

he's been hassling for ages not to wear a nappy at night, so last night bit the bullet and went for it.

Night 1 he was fine woke up in the morning and wee'd himself then.

Night 2 he wet himself in the middle of the night and again in the morning.

Do we carry on? Put him back in nappies? I don't want him to feel like a baby but wondering if he's not ready and not sure how I find out if he is ready!!! DD was so much easier compared to this.

Any advice greatfully received.

My Ds1 was also over 4 before he was dry at night.

If he isn't distressed then you could keep going, we have a PEVA fitted sheet on our son's bed so it is waterproof and you can just wipe it down after whipping off the wet sheet. It means we only have to change one sheet and his PJs.

We also made sure that we bought cheap duvets from Matalan that are only 4.5 tog and fit into our washing machine and we have a spare one made up ready to go for the middle of the night change if he has wet the duvet too.

It didn't take long for my son to realise he needed to go and get out of bed, and if he is incredibly tired, we lift him when we go to bed as he is a very deep sleeper. He is now almost 5.
