What's your 18mo's favourite toy?

Having just gone through DS's toy collection, much of it seems very young for him now. I don't want to buy volumes of toys, so what were your best buys for 18mo+ please?

Megablocks
Scuttlebug
And honestly... loads and loads of cars

Cars
Jigsaws - obviously fairly simple ones!
Baby doll and toy pushchair

Duplo
Baby doll
Scuttlebug for DD1, scooter for DD2
Play kitchen

Scuttle bug was fairly quickly outgrown here, but the others have been played with for years.

Loud plastic electric things
Batteries if he can get hold of them
Door knobs
The most dangerous thing in the room

Although seriously he likes paints now, which is nice

Also he loves clean recycling, like egg boxes and milk cartons and stuff.

He'd probably like unclean recycling even more given the chance though

Thanks for the replies. The recycling is very familiar, DS is big into tupperware and cardboard boxes at the moment! I'd put it down to getting bored of and possibly outgrowing some of his toys, but maybe it's just a phase/stage.

Megablocks mine are 19 months and prefer duplo now to the megablocks (so may get longer out of duplo). Role play things - kitchen things, dolls. Just starting to learn balance bikes but love ride ons. Toys which involve posting. Books, brio train set, balls, crayons.
