I'm a fan of cosleeping with tiny ones that wake up - more sleep for me! With my eldest I moved out of her room when she was 2.5, no issues whatsoever. She's 7 now, and probably pops into my bed for a morning cuddle at 7am less than once a month. All great.
BUT one of my boys it's a different matter. He's 3, shares a room with his twin brother. He wakes once most nights for a wee (he wears a nappy at night as a can't get him quickly enough, buthe does wake up for it). He's started getting into bed between me and DH several times a week.
I'm not really comfortable with this. It's a double not a King and he's all elbows and knees! It really disturbs my sleep. I also have DC4 (3 months) in a side car cot next to me and am woken by her in the night.
If yourkid was the type to get into your bed on the night, did they stop on their own accord? Or did you have to do something about it? If so, what?
I'm guessing this may be partly about the new baby being in my room. He is fascinated by her and I have to keep a close eye as he would be too rough with her if not watched, I absolutely cannot leave them unsupervised.
